Meditations on Divine Names - 100 Poems

Heart of Peach Colored Rose, Photo (c) 2011 by Maja Trochimczyk
The completion of the Meditations on Divine Names anthology is approaching. The anthology will include about 100 poems from 40 poets and will present a diversity of ideas about the divine. Section titles: Naming, Names, Earth, Water, Air, Fire, She, He, Being, Loving. There will be approximately 8 to 10 poems per section.

The anthology is about the Divine, not about us here, but about God/there. Not about how we die and miss each other, but about about how we plan to live forever in God's love. After "fire" there is "being" and "loving" - pretty high on the mystic path up into the divine. The end of Dante's Paradiso is a good example. Canto XXXIII maybe...

The selected poems are mostly not about "doubt" "hate" "how awful the world is anyway" "we are all going to die" "death is everywhere." The preferred approaches are different ways of saying "what a beautiful day!" It is about love in a spiritual sense. Creation, worship, inspiration, diversity of traditions, religion and religious traditions, Christians and pagan witches, Allah and YHWH and the Unnameable Absolute and the Goddess. The diversity of topics is amazing, from giving birth to and the variety of creatures, and what Jews eat.

Forthcoming in February 2012, 140 pages, 6x9 trade paperback and ebook
